DHS Administration and Finance, consists of the following units: DHS Financial Accounting, DHS Budget and Contracts, DHS Business Intelligence,
DHS Systems Support, and ECU Physicians Clinical Financial Services.
- DHS Financial Accounting
- Responsible for general ledger and cost accounting functions for the Division of Health Sciences across multiple funding sources.
- Provide accounting and financial management support services to the ECU Medical & Health Sciences Foundation.
- DHS Budget and Contracts
- Budgeting services for DHS State budgets and ECU Physicians budgets.
- Management of the complete accounting cycle for all DHS Contracts.
- DHS Business Intelligence
- Delivers advanced reporting solutions and analyses that transform data into information to promote powerful business decision-making.
- DHS Systems Support
- Liaison between various information technology experts and other non-IT constituents within and outside the university
- External reporting for regulatory and professional organizations (e.g., Association of Academic Health Centers, American Association of Medical Colleges)
- ECU Physicians Clinical Finance Services
- Centralized Revenue Cycle Services
- Decentralized revenue cycle oversight
